Ratatouille 料理鼠王

偶然想到可以試試看電影配英文字幕, 意外地這樣看完《料理鼠王》, 感覺還不錯。或許是因為有將孩童納入觀眾群中, 用詞和句子結構比較簡單。之後應該可以買些 Pixar 或 Disney 的電影來看, 這樣練英文還滿愉快的。



電影的尾聲, Ego 的評論這麼寫道:

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.

But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core.

In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.

覺得很有感觸, 不經讓我多聽了好幾次 [*1]。似乎多說些什麼會破壞這段評論的韻味。這種時候, 就貼張大叔的背影做呼應吧。



整體來說, 很有意思的電影, 還有難得一見的精彩結局。DVD 附的幾則短片、導演和大廚的訪談也很有意思, 值得買來收藏。可惜我是用租的, 待買了其它部電影也看得差不多後, 再回頭看看是否要收這部吧。

相見亦無事，不來常思君

偶然看到這句「相見亦無事，不來常思君」, 覺得很妙, 心有同感。

以前覺得這樣很奇怪, 偶而會想到好友們, 碰面卻不知聊什麼, 盡說些垃圾話。散會後偶然想起那堆垃圾話, 卻又會發出會心一笑。

搜了一下相關的閒話, 看到有人提到蘇軾的《觀潮》:

廬山煙雨浙江潮，
未到千般恨不消。
及至到來無一事，
廬山煙雨浙江潮。

這篇的釋意很棒, 感受到這首詩的韻味。雖說和「相見亦無事，不來常思君」是不同的意境, 到是點出另一個困惑我的點。即使明白如此, 還是要到廬山、浙江走一遭, 才會滿足。

這麼說來, 早一步明白這道理, 不會省下什麼「冤枉路」, 多的是幾分自嘲的樂趣吧。

愛買

剛進愛買發現置物櫃換了, 不像以前那樣投十元拿鑰匙, 而換用密碼鎖。使用密碼到不會讓我太困擾, 大不了用生日就可以, 但是少了鑰匙上的號碼, 我怕回來的時候忘了包包放在那個箱子裡。

推著推車搖啊搖, 頗喜歡在愛買閒晃的感覺。不知為何, 大潤發就沒有這種閒晃感, 或許是因為佈置, 或是物品排放位置的影響。照慣例在影音書籍區停最久, 以往還會看到的動畫DVD, 這回已不見終影。不變的是, 一年多前買的《灰羽同盟》, 放在我桌上仍未拆封。

隨意看看, 的確有些想買的影片, 最後選了 Discovery 的《囂張掠食》, 介紹恐龍的節目, 一集45分鐘 178 元, 正好適合我, 不貴也不會太占時間。

在 T-shirt 區順手拿了件台灣製的特價 T-shirt, 說真的, 在大賣場買 T-shirt, 還真少看見它們沒有特價過。還是說, 剛好落在不貴的區間, 我才會意識到它們, 因此有這樣的錯覺?

問了店員小枕頭的位置, 隨手挑了個記憶枕來試用, 完成今次來愛買的目的。接著走下 B1, 隨意看看, 挑了箱黑麥汁, 買了盒榴槤, 結束今天的採購。

離開愛買時, 剛好飄起細雨, 這雨也奇怪, 看起來很大, 身體的觸感卻很小, 有點猶豫是否要雨衣。幸好後來還是有穿, 騎回家的路上雨愈下愈大, 到家門口前已是豆粒大的雨滴直到全身。以前遇到下雨騎車會不怎麼開心, 不知怎麼, 有一天開始就覺得沒什麼了, 反而會稍微享受這種不同。只要不是太常發生就好, 雨天感受不同氣息, 別有風味。
